Wringer

A machine used for impressing water off freshly washed clothes. It shortrened the process of drying dresses, also prevented from stretching the fabric.

In last decades of 19th century first wringers appeared in households, not so long before constructing “fullings”, the prototypes of washing-machines.

The wringer showed in the picture, probably came from 1930s. It was produced by British company LION BRAND, which logo is visible on the wooden rack of facility. The machine was covered by 5-years warrant.
