Christmas card, 1960s
Christmas post card dated on 1960s with illustration by Maria Uszacka-Godlewska (1932 – 2017). It shows popular image of Santa Claus – old man in red costume – sitting at Christmas table. At the bottom inscription WESOŁYCH ŚWIĄT – MERRY CHRISTMAS. This card was part of the Christmas post cards set released by Publishing Office “RUCH”.
The author of the illustration was a graduate of Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Graphic Faculty, learned by professor Jan Marcin Szancer. She illustrated over 50 books for kids and teens, like The Pink Balloon and Ala has a cat by Wanda Chotomska or Runny nose giraffe by Ryszard Marek Groński. She also created the artistic design for animation The Brawl in Bragging Town. In 1984 awarded for creative work for kids and teens.
