One of the elements of Polish Soldier’s equipment, with characteristic reniform shape.

Polish mess-tin was designed in 1920s according to the German pattern. The dish is divided in two parts – a cauldron and a saucepan with handle, which is also used as a lid. Total capacity of the mess-tin is ca. 2 litres, in which ¾ is for the cauldron. A hitch on the handle of the saucepan and other constructional solutions allow to store and transport dish easily.
