A pennant of a winning play, a tin of grandma’s beloved tea, a plate with a house number, an orangeade’s label – all of theese things hide extraordinary stories, which all combined gives us a certain tale.

The tale about Zwoleń.

The history of our city is not just great or tragic events, which had happened among centuries. It is also the stories of every single citizen, recorded in family souvenirs and repeated at the festive table. At the exhibition “Zvoleniana. The stories hidden in the objects” you will see that type of city’s history, told by photographs, documents, articles of daily use and other souvenirs pulled out of the drawers.

Members of city’s community and young participants of the contest “History in my family: ARCHIVE” had their contribution in the preservation of local history. Many of te objects presented at the exhibition come from private collections of Zwoleń’s citizens, what had made the exhibition comemorating the 597th anniversary of gainig municipal law our team work.
